How To Install CyanogenMod 11 ROM in Oppo N1

How To Install CyanogenMod 11 ROM in Oppo N1

Oppo N1 is one of the most unique devices in the Android series. It has revolving camera which I think is very innovative thing which Oppo did and it is better and proved that they are also good manufacturers. Oppo N1 has two editions. One is the simple and stock edition while the second one is Oppo N1 CyanogenMod edition which has CM 11 pre-installed in it. CM edition users are enjoying with CyanogenMod ROM, but the simple users are not! So for that problem, I will be showing you how to install CM 11 (CyanogenMod 11 Kit Kat 4.4.2) ROM in Oppo N1. Make sure you have rooted your Oppo N1 and have CWM recovery or any other recovery installed in your device.
Oppo N1 has a 5.9 inch with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, 373 PPI density and IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen which supports multi-touch. With 2 GB RAM, Oppo N1 has 16/32 GB Internal storage depending on the variant. Both the cameras are having same features (front camera and primary camera) like 13 Mega Pixels (4128 x 3096 pixels), LED flash, Dual-LED flash light, Rotating lense, touch to focus, auto focus, panorama, HDR, geo-tagging etc. It can record HD videos (1080p) at the rate of 30 Frame Per Seconds. It has stock Android 4.2 OS, which we will be upgrading to Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat OS with CM 11 ROM. Stuffed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset and Quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300, it has Adreno 320 GPU. It is costly when it is compared with it's specifications! It should be around 20 to 30 thousands.

The ROM is nightly, not stable, but still has everything working in it like Network, WiFi, bluetooth etc. so you can flash it with a Nandroid backup.

Requirements

  • Rooted Oppo N1 with CWM, TWRP, PhilZ or any recovery installed in it.
  • Basic knowledge of using your recovery.
  • Working internet plan to download the CM 11 ROM.
  • A USB cable to transfer the ROM. (If you are downloading it directly to your handset, then leave this).

How To Flash/Install CM 11 in Oppo N1/How To Upgrade Oppo N1 to Android 4.4.2 KK by CM11 ROM.
  • Push the ROM to your SD Card of your Oppo N1.
  • Reboot your Oppo N1 to recovery by using adb, terminal emulator or manual method.
  • Select Backup and restore and select Backup option to make a Nandroid backup of your device.
  • Select Wipe userdata/factory reset option after making Nandroid backup.
  • Go to Advanced option and select Format /system option.
  • Select Install zip from sdcard in the CWM recovery and select cm-11-20140325-NIGHTLY-n1.zip from your SD Card.
  • [Optional] Let it flash and then flash Google Apps by the same method as stated above but replace the CM11 ROM by the Gapps zip.
  • Select Reboot system now and enjoy the KitKat experience.
The boot will take time because it is the first boot of CM 11 ROM and it is building caches, data and other files for the other boots. Other boots will be much faster than your first boot. If you face any bootloop then wipe userdata again by ClockWorkMod Recovery and reboot!
