How To Root XOLO Q1100 by RootBoot

How To Root XOLO Q1100 by RootBoot

My friend Rohan Taneja again did an awesome work. Many people say that XOLO Q1100 cannot be rooted, because none of the software works. Some days before my friend Rohan Taneja bought his device and tried rooting it. He failed to root and bricked his device. After replacing his device he searched every where about the clone of XOLO Q1100 and finally he found it by seeing some system files. Then he saw the firmware of his clone and extract boot image from there. Finally he added supersu and su binary in the boot image to root the XOLO Q1100 and posted in the group. Everyone rooted their devices and are waiting for custom recovery.
Rooting XOLO Q1100 will open many close doors of this device. You may have noticed that your device becomes too hot after excessive usage and that is because of high system clock. XOLO Q1100 is clocked at 1.4 GHz which is too much. So for controlling the heat, you just need to under clock the device to 1.1/1.2 GHz, but for that you need permissions from system and that's what you get after rooting your XOLO Q1100. Also new XOLO Q1100 models faces bugs in calls because of Dual Mic problem. To disable that you need to edit /etc/permissions files and again, for that you need to be a super user.
After rooting you can expect updates like Kit Kat for XOLO Q1100 because it is a QualComm SnapDragon device and this chipset gets every update after the roll of the updates.
You just need to install automatic installation drivers provided by XOLO to root your XOLO Q1100. We will be flashing a new boot image from fastboot to root XOLO Q1100. Let's begin!

Please notice..

Rooting voids warranty and I am not responsible for your bricked XOLO Q1100 without warranties. You may wait till the ClockWorkMod for XOLO Q1100 because it will help you to create Nandroid backups. The tutorial it about rooting and MXRootROM or the writer holds no warranty on what you are doing.

The script has been modified by me because I found it difficult for some users to try this. The actual creator of this script is Rohan Taneja only and I am not taking away the credits from him. The name of this tool is RootBoot.

    3. Sorry, but you have different firmware version which is NOT supported in this guide. We don't know if it is for old or new one. I have just re-written the script. You can submit bugs/problems to @Rohan Taneja. :( Currently we cannot help you. Better go to service center and submit your device.
