How To Root XOLO Q1010i without PC

How To Root XOLO Q1010i without PC

After launching XOLO Q2500, XOLO released Q1010i just after the release of Q2500. Both the devices have almost same specifcations like chipset, processor and some other things. Again, I found that the chipset of XOLO Q2500 is MediaTek MT6582 which is a Quad-Core chipset (SoC).
Talking about the specifications of XOLO Q1010i, I would like to say this is a decent device with nice price amount.
XOLO Q1010i boasts with it's 5 inch big touchscreen which is full HD touch screen with 720x1280 (294 PPI density) resolution. There's a Quad-Core MediaTek MT6582 CPU which is clocked at 1.3 GHz and because it is a SoC (System On Chip), GPS and many things are depended on this SoC only which makes the device less costly. Also there is a 1 GB RAM in XOLO Q1010i which is these days common and I think it is a bit less because when you will install heavy applications like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Facebook for Android and other applications, you will only get 100-400 MB RAM which is okay for daily users, but less for the gamers who play hardcore games in their Android devices. It has got a 8 Mega Pixels camera with Flash Support and a 2 Mega Pixels front camera. XOLO Q1010i has got 8 GB Internal storage out of which you will barely get 5.2 GB, but don't worry, you can expand your memory using an SD Card which has maximum 32 GB of storage. I always laugh when people buy devices worth rupees 14 thousands which has Android 4.2 installed, why not to buy Moto G instead or any other device which has Android 4.3 or Android 4.4 KK. This device is also running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. It supports Dual-SIM, WiFi and other things which will make the post long, so let me go to the point.
Let me begin with the tutorial which will teach you how to root your XOLO Q1010i.

Requirements

  • Framaroot 1.6.1 APK: Get it from official Framaroot XDA thread.
  • Some basic knowledge of installing applications in your Android phones.
  • USB Debugging enabled. [Go to Settings>About Phone and tap 7 times on Build number as fast as you can. Then go back to Settings and there will be a new option Developer options. Enable the option and scroll down a bit in it and enable USB Debugging from there].

So you think rooting is cool? Actually it is until you brick your device. After rooting, make a backup  with MTK Droid Root & Tools to be always an owner brick-free device. I am not responsible for any damage caused to your Q1010i.

How To Root XOLO Q1010i
  • Download Framaroot 1.6.1 APK from your computer and push it to your phone [internal or external SD Card].
  • Open the launcher and from there, open Framaroot application.
  • From the drop-down list, select SuperSU because it is far better than Super User.
  • Select Boromir to root your XOLO Q1010i.
  • You will see a message Success :-) ... Superuser and su binary installed. You have to reboot your device. If you saw this message, then reboot your XOLO Q1010i.
  • You will see SuperSu app installed in your phone! This means you are rooted.
You may confirm that you are rooted or not by using applications like Root Checker which can be downloaded free from Google Play Store.
